creative endeavor

After my brother's passing we drove home through Texas to see our kids, The Singletons. They are so full of joy and make you feel wonderful just by being there. They are great parents to our three adopted grandchildren. During our visit Dara and I got crafty. She is a beautiful artist, scrapbooker and now quilter. We went to check out a new store. Really cool fabrics. I saw a pattern for a kindle cover. My new kindle fire needed a cover so when I saw it I thought great. I can do this. My friend Peg knows I think I can do anything. Little Ana helped me pick out my fabrics. I told her I like green. When we got home Dara confined in me that she would have never tried making this but would be more than happy to help. Well, between the two of us we figured it out and six hours later we had this darling kindle cover. If I make another one soon I should be able to do it on my own. Peg would have been impressed. We used glass pins and an iron. I just need to color the elastic on the inside and make some beads to dangle on the front. The beads and hook were my idea. Thank you Dara for being so loving, helpful and patient. You are the best. Like you always say, "We're just making memories!!!" Love you so.
